Welcome to the first time ever One Welfare Stars Programme!
What is One Welfare Stars?
One Welfare Stars is a One Welfare Leaders and Ambassadors programme, established as a new voluntary initiative between schools and One Welfare CIC.
Why have you launched the One Welfare Stars Programme?
To promote and support understanding and dissemination of the One Welfare concept, to help students develop skills and live values that support sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity, culture's contribution to sustainable development and biodiversity in line withe the UN SDGs.
What is the objective of the One Welfare Stars Programme?
The programme aims to:
1. help develop students that acquire skills and knowledge relevant to a One Welfare approach such as a holistic vision of interconnectedness, compassion and empathy for sentient beings.
2. raise awareness of initiatives consistent with a One Welfare approach within a fun learning environment.
3. help develop links between organisations and individuals undertaking One Welfare work and students that can be of benefit during their studies and career development
4. support and promote the exchange of information and best practices adopting One Welfare principles
What are the benefits of joining the One Welfare Stars Programme?
One Welfare Stars supports efforts to create an extra-curricular activity environment where students can develop skills and knowledge related to One Welfare in a fun environment. The programme will offer the opportunity to connect with universities engaged in the OWSM sessions and provide insights for the students into prospective careers. Where possible our organisation will help fund activities and provide incentive prize materials.
